Obeltus - Slow running conveyor belt
Obeltus is a conveyor belt designed to run very quiet, smooth and slow (~1mm/s) at a preset speed.- Two 5mm PU round belts. Track length: 990mm. Track width: 50mm.
- Robust design: NEMA17 stepper motors, 3d printed PETG parts, 4020 aluminium extrusions.
- Foldable for safe storage and transportation. With folded length of 570mm it fits into Euronorm-Box.
- Driven by dual ultra quiet Trinamic stepper motor drivers.
- Standalone operation: a single power supply is sufficient, no host computer required.
- Powered by external supply (12-24V) with common Ø 2.0mm power jack.
- USB port to upload customized parameters via the integrated firmware loader.
Obeltus in action
Analyze rapid tests with Obeltus and computer vision
Activated and QR labeled rapid tests are put on the belt start position. Each test travels 15 minutes on the belt. At the end of the conveyor belt, the test is discarded into a container. Before, a camera takes a picture of the test result for further analysis (manually, computer based or with a cloud service). Setup:- Obeltus with a USB camera at the end of the conveyor belt.
- Rapid test dummies: 20x70x4mm³, QR label: 11x11mm².
- Python with OpenCV for image processing. Source on Github: RapidTestRecorder.py.
- Performance: 140 Tests/h. Cycle time: ~25s.
